Access to e-resources from a private device
If you want to use the University Library’s e-books, journals, or databases from your own computer, mobile phone, or tablet, you must connect to UiB’s network via VPN (Virtual Private Network), even when you are on campus. This will give you an IP address from UiB, and you will be automatically recognized by our various e-resource providers.
How to get access
To use UiB’s VPN, you must be a student or employee at UiB. If you are an employee of Helse Bergen, you can find information about access through the Medical Library (external link).
