NORA
The Norwegian Artificial Intelligence Research Consortium (NORA (external link)) brings together several prominent institutions across Norway in order to strengthen Norwegian research, education and innovation within the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotics. The University of Bergen is a member of NORA.
UiB AI
UiB AI is a platform to coordinate, promote and make visible research, education and innovation initiatives in artificial intelligence at the University of Bergen, and to facilitate for collaboration and contact both between faculties of UiB and with partners and collaborators outside of UiB.
LEAD AI
LEAD AI is the University of Bergen's career and mobility fellowship program for recruiting and training 19 postdoctoral fellows in artificial intelligence. LEAD AI is funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Grant Agreement No. 101126560.
Energy Informatics Lab
The Energy Informatics Lab is hosted by the Department of Informatics at UiB. Energy informatics is an area of informatics concerned with the development and application of modern information and communication technology to address challenges related to sustainable energy production, distribution and saving.
Statistics and data science
The Statistics and data science research group is situated at the Department of Mathematics at UiB. Statistics is a field within mathematics that deals with the principles and methods for collecting and analyzing quantitative information, based on models and concepts from probability theory. With statistical methods, one can explore datasets to find patterns and make forecasts, and to estimate uncertainties.
