About the research centre

CMYC was established autumn of 2025 and is funded by K. G. Jebsens https://stiftkgj.no/en/senter/for-myeloid-blood-cancer/ (ekstern lenke)

The centre is located in the laboratory building behind Haukeland University Hospital and works closely with its host institutions Helse Bergen and The University of Bergen.

CMYC`s Clinical research is largely focused on these haematological cancers:

  • Akutt Myelogen Leukemi
  • Kronisk Myelogen Leukemi
  • Myelodysplastiske syndromer

In addition to clinical research, translational research is conducted across diagnosis and clinical challenges. In collaboration with research centres and groups in the Nordic and Europe, we analyse patient samples at time of diagnosis and throughout the treatment time to identify early molecular respons in the patients. We investigate if status of biomarker as identified by CyTOF can stratify patients and guide therapy decisions.

The primary website of CMYC is here https://cmyc.w.uib.no/ (ekstern lenke).  Here you may fine information regarding research, news, events, contact for healthy volunteers and patients.
