CPE: Interdisciplinary seminars in comparative political economy
A series of interdisciplinary research seminars in the field of comparative political economy, widely conceived. We address questions related to how politics shapes the economy and how the economy shapes politics. Topics include but are not limited to economic inequality, neoliberalism, political-economy approaches to the climate crisis, political-economy explanations of the rise of right-wing populism, tax policy, education policy, labour market policy, and industrial relations. Our seminars benefit from the participation of researchers from various disciplines, leading to a truly interdisciplinary exchange. Participants often come from political science, sociology, economics, philosophy, history, or social anthropology.
