Hip Imaging, Pathology and Surgery Research Group
Hip Imaging, Pathology and Surgery (HIPS) Research Group is based in Helse Vest and the University of Bergen. The primary focus is diagnosis and treatment of pediatric hip disorders. We are investigating potential causes of the disorders and how they evolve during life, including the risk of early osteoarthritis. This includes follow-up of our own cohort (Hofte89/The Bergen Birth Hip Cohort) and genetic studies in other Norwegian cohorts such as HUNT and the Mother-Father-Child Study (MoBa).
