Welcome to celebration and presentation of Tsimafei Kazlou's Publication Award 2025.

The Faculty Board has awarded Tsimafei Kazlou this year's Publication Award 2025, in acknowledgement of his article:

Kazlou, T., Cherp, A., & Jewell, J. (2024). “Feasible deployment of carbon capture and storage and the requirements of climate targets.” Nature Climate Change, 14, 1047–1055. (external link)

Tsimafei Kazlou is a PhD Candidate at Department of Geography and Centre for Climate and Energy Transformation (CET).

The Faculty’s independent award committee has highlighted the article’s high scientific quality, originality, and societal relevance.

The committee was particularly impressed by the fact that he is an early-career researcher, are the lead author of this impactful and methodologically innovative study in one of the world’s leading climate research journals. The contribution exemplifies the strength of emerging scholarship and the role of social science in addressing global climate challenges.

To celebrate the achievement, we have invited Tim to present his article during a lunch seminar at the department (room 744), at 12:15 on November 6th.

Congratulations, Tim!
