Philosophy of Mind
The Philosophy of Mind group is a research group based at the Department of Philosophy.
Research Area
This research group brings together scientific staff and students who are interested in mind, in all its aspects.
The research interests that are represented in the group include topics like perception, consciousness, aesthetic experience and expertise, social cognition, cognitive phenomenology, emotion, and the philosophy of psychopathology.
Besides discussion of individual projects of its members, work in the group is presently focused on several topics. Here are some examples:
- The role of consciousness (epistemic and in relation to action)
- The philosophy of affordances
- Collective Memory
- Cognition and Perception
- Aesthetic experiences and aesthetic expertise
- The limits of Artificial Intelligence
