About the research group
The Research Group for Welfare Law works on a broad range of welfare-related legal issues, including health and social law, child welfare law, labor law, social security law, bio-law, legal theory, and more. The research has strong connections to other areas of law, particularly human rights and administrative law, and focuses specifically on vulnerable groups and the intersections between welfare, discrimination, and migration. The group actively contributes to the University of Bergen’s efforts to address global societal challenges (GSC) related to health, migration, and social inequality (see especially the projects by Kidanemariam, Grønningsæter, and Schultz).
