EBV-MS Welcomes New Collaboration with Professor Laura Airas

This week, MS researchers from Oslo and Bergen travelled to Turku (Åbo), Finland, to meet with Professor Laura Airas and her renowned research group at the University of Turku.

Professor Airas is an internationally recognised expert in progressive MS, neuroinflammation, and advanced imaging technologies such as PET and MRI. At both the University of Turku and Turku University Hospital, she combines cutting‑edge research with clinical neurology, contributing significantly to the global MS field.

During the visit, the Norwegian team was given a tour of the Turku PET Centre, an internationally recognized research environment combining clinical expertise with imaging technology.

Professor Airas is now joining the EBV-MS consortium as a new collaborator, and will participate in the TARGET-EBV clinical study (WP2). We look forward to a close and productive partnership ahead.
