Project Description

This project is part of Work Package 1: Hormone Dynamics of the ENDOTRAIN network and focuses on the study of patients with adrenal tumors.

The aim is to investigate how cortisol levels affect tissue glucose, blood pressure, and sleep, and how these correlate with patient-reported data.

The project includes:

  • Case–control study with collection of wearable data and hormone profiles in healthy individuals and patients
  • Integration of physiological data from wearable devices (e.g., activity, heart rate, temperature) with 24h dynamic hormone profiling, proteomics, and patient-reported data
  • Contribution to the development of digital diagnostic tools
  • Collaboration with other doctoral candidates in WP1
  • Participation in training courses and workshops of the ENDOTRAIN network

Research Fields:

Hormones, Digital Health, Medical Sensors, Physiology

Secondments:

  • University of Ulm (Germany): Algorithms for wearable data analysis
  • University of Manchester (UK): Mathematical modeling of hormone rhythms
