About the research school

ChemSchool aims to strengthen the doctoral-level chemistry education in Norway and equip future PhD graduates with the competencies and skills that are needed by industry and academia to tackle the challenges that society is facing. To achieve this goal the research school host specialized PhD courses, organize workshops and conferences.

Through ChemSchool the PhD students will have access to a suite of high-quality courses, which gives a diversity of courses that are not possible for the individual institutions to have available for their PhD students at their own campus. In addition, the students can choose amongst a good collection of courses in transferable skills that will equip them with sought after knowledge highly valued by industry in addition to academic employers. The annual conference and other school activities will also give the members plenty of opportunities to network across a wide range of disciplines and chemists working in all sectors.
