About the research school

HySchool - “Norwegian Research School on Hydrogen and Hydrogen-Based Fuels” was established in 2022 for an eight-year period and is funded by the Norwegian Research Council and industrial partners. HySchool is a joint initiative from seven Norwegian universities:

Research School Activities

  • HySchool Days - an annual meeting place for PhD candidates, researchers and representatives from the labour market, from different disciplines and organisations.
  • HySchool Webinars - HySchool Webinars highlight interesting content on hydrogen from HySchool and are open to all interested.
  • Travel grants -  HySchool offers three types of grants, and each PhD candidate can only receive a given type of grant once. For study stays abroad, the available budget is limited to about two grants per year.
  • Courses - HySchool collaborates with partners to offer courses that may be relevant for admitted PhD candidates.
  • Other i.e. Student Board, excursions, individual follow-up etc.
