Research School in Clinical Medicine
The Postgraduate School of Clinical Medical Research is a vibrant academic and social arena for PhD candidates affiliated with the Department of Clinical Medicine (K1) and the Department of Clinical Science (K2). It provides a platform for students to connect, share ideas, and present their research to peers in a supportive environment.
About the research school
Established in 2005 the school offers a range of courses that can be included in the training component of the PhD programme, helping students strengthen their methodological and academic foundation in clinical medical research.
Our Mission
The Postgraduate School of Clinical Medical Research aims to:
- Provide PhD candidates with high-quality training and supervision in clinical research methods
- Foster a strong network among clinical researchers
- Raise awareness among healthcare professionals, authorities, and the public about the importance of clinical research and its impact on diagnosis and treatment of serious diseases
Today, more than 250 clinical researchers are active across the two university departments, contributing to the supervision and training of approximately 450 PhD candidates and postdoctoral fellows.
