Course description
Objectives and Content
This course comprises part two of the systematic introduction into Italian grammar.
The exercises used in the course aim to hone the students' ability to combine both grammatical and lexical knowledge in writing their own texts in Italian.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completing the course, the student is expected to:

Teaching and learning methods
Course instruction will be in the form of seminars. There will normally be two hours of seminar teaching each week over a period of 10 weeks. Students in ITAL124 also have the opportunity to participate in the online teaching of ITAL624.
If fewer than five students enroll in a course, teaching may be adjusted to fit the number of students. In such cases, students will be informed about the alternative teaching arrangement at the beginning of the semester and before the registration deadline for autumn courses on September 1st .
Compulsory Assignments and Attendance
During the semester students must hand in a paper in Italian on a grammatical problem, to be assessed as either a pass or fail.
Mandatory assignment are valid for one additional semester following the semester of instruction.
Forms of Assessment
The assessment in the course consists of an oral exam of approx. 30 min; both Italian and Norwegian can be used during this test.
During the oral exam, which usually revolves around a given text, students must demonstrate all-around knowledge on problems in Italian grammar the ability to expand on these topics orally.
