Shelf overview
Books in medicine and dentistry are arranged according to the National Library of Medicine (NLM) system.
Preclinical subjects (the Q class):
- QS Anatomy, QT Physiology, QU Biochemistry and cell biology
- QV Pharmacology, QW Microbiology and immunology, and QX Parasitology
- QY Clinical laboratory medicine and QZ Pathology
Medicine and related subjects (the W class):
- W General medicine, WA Public health and WB Clinical practice
- WC-WK Diseases in different organs
- WL The nervous system, WM Psychiatry and WN Radiology
- WO Surgery, WP Gynaecology and WQ Obstetrics, WR Dermatology
- WS Paediatrics, WT Geriatrics and WU Dentistry
- WV Otolaryngology, WW Ophthalmology
- WY Nursing and WZ History of medicine
The spine of the books shows the NLM code + three letters from the author's name. Example: `WK 550 Ber` means endocrinology, author Bergström.
Non-medical books are arranged according to the Library of Congress (LC) system.
Borrowing and returns
A self-service loan and return machine is available in the library. Reserved material is collected from the pickup shelf. You receive a pickup code by SMS or email.
Workspaces and group rooms
The library has a varied range of workspaces:
- Six group rooms (Book a group room)
- Individual workspaces for focused work
- Open seating areas for collaboration
- Armchairs along the windows
Printing, copying and scanning
The library has printers for printing, copying and scanning.
