Who can search and borrow?
Everyone can search freely in Oria without logging in. To order, borrow and reserve material, you need to log in. Students and staff at UiB get an account automatically and log in with Feide. Other users can get access through one of UB's libraries. Once you have access, you log in with your library card number and a password.
How do I access e-resources?
On a private device you must always connect to UiB's VPN to read licensed e-resources. On UiB computers you have automatic access. If you experience problems with access, try connecting to VPN. Wireless networks such as eduroam and UiB-Guest only give you internet access, not access to the e-resources.
Staff at Helse Bergen (Haukeland University Hospital) must contact their IT department to set up VPN or a remote-desktop solution for access outside the workplace.
