How to visit the garden

The Arboretum is free, and the outdoor areas at Milde are open all year round. Bergen Botanical Garden is right next door, so you can experience both on the same trip.

About the Arboretum

The Arboretum at Milde is a large, living collection of trees and shrubs from Norway and abroad, and part of the University Museum's plant collections. Here you can walk among tree collections, woodland and themed areas throughout the year, and experience, among other things, the Rhododendron species collection and cultivar collection, the Heather Garden, the historic Bergen Plants in Blondehushagen, the Rosarium – Norway's largest rose collection – as well as wild Norwegian trees.
