The objective of this project is to contribute to the development of vaccines against Shigella and ETEC for children of the developing world. - Vaccines for childhood diarrhea in low- and middle-income countries
Diarrhea is one of the main causes of ill health, malnutrition, and death among young children living in low- and middle-income countries. One of the most important causes of diarrhea among these children is infection with enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) strains that secrete the heat-stable.
