About the research group

WHO WE ARE

Researchers in FoMU come from several disciplinary backgrounds including education, cultural studies, psychology, women & gender studies, linguistics and public health. FOMU researchers engage in interdisciplinary research and collaborate with scholars outside of education. Further information about FOMU research can be found on individual members’ research profiles.

METHODOLOGICAL ORIENTATIONS

FoMU researchers use critical perspectives in both theory and methodology, mainly applying qualitative methods. Working from a critical perspective entails a reflexive approach to our research, considering how difference and power affect our own theoretical perspectives, viewpoints and interests, and our positioning as researchers.

WORKING WITH FOMU

We welcome inquiries from researchers and students who have questions about our research backgrounds, are interested in collaboration, or who may wish to participate in FoMU. Please contact the research group leader.
