Family and Children Law, Succession Law and Law of Persons
The group conducts research on a broad range of issues within the individual's personal legal sphere. The members of the group are working closely with other research groups within similar fields, and contribute to international research networks.
About the research group
The research group is an arena for scholarly discussion and exchange of ideas among faculty researchers specialising in these fields, mainly through seminars and other activities. It also collaborates with master's students writing theses related to the group's areas of expertise.
Its academic scope is broad, as family, child, succession and personal law intersect with many other legal fields. Consequently, the group also includes members conducting research in fields such as civil procedure, criminal law, and comparative law.
The group's overarching goal is to develop research-based knowledge that is relevant to national legal practice and to carry out legal research at a high international level. Members share this knowledge through teaching, lectures, and by producing legal literature for use in university courses.
