CABUTE - Capacity Building for Research-Based Teacher Education
CABUTE is a seven‑year project (2021–2027) dedicated to research‑based capacity building in Ugandan teacher education under the NORAD‑funded NORHED II programme.
About the research project
The project strengthens teacher education by offering master’s scholarships to 16 teacher educators, PhD fellowships to four teacher educators, and Postdoctoral scholarships to eight teacher educators. In addition, CABUTE develops digital infrastructure for e‑learning at our three partner institutions in Uganda, facilitates research collaboration between Norway and Uganda, and organizes EATES—an annual teacher education symposium for Uganda and the wider East African region.
