Research
The department conducts research at a high international level in clinical dentistry, doctoral education, specialist training and has close links between clinic and research.

Studies
We teach dental hygiene and dentistry students in dental subjects. The department runs a large university clinic where students do their clinical training. We also have a skills centre with a large, modern simulation laboratory as well as a dental technology workshop. In addition, we run specialist training for dentists and a qualification programme for dentists trained outside the EU/EEA.
Odontologen
Odontologen is UiB's dental clinic with examination, diagnostics and treatment of teeth, mouth and jaw. Treatment is carried out by students and candidates under supervision from experienced dentists and dental hygienists.
