Find Erasmus agreement

To travel on an Erasmus exchange, you must apply for a place on an Erasmus agreement. These agreements make it possible to travel on an exchange to all EU countries, the EEA countries Iceland and Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Serbia and Turkey (Erasmus programme countries).

Search for exchange agreements.

Erasmus grant

All bachelor’s and master’s students at UiB can go on an Erasmus exchange and receive an Erasmus grant. The size of the Erasmus grant is determined by the National Agency and is subject to change every year. For the academic year 2026/27 the Erasmus grant is between 410 and 460 euros per month.

As an Erasmus student, you can apply for a Green Erasmus travel grant, and students from underrepresented groups in student mobility or students with disabilities can apply for additional grant.

Step-by-step guides for Erasmus students

When you go on exchange with Erasmus, there is a lot to keep in mind. Check out the guides for an overview of what you need to know.

Extending or cancelling your Erasmus exchange

It is usually possible to extend your exchange period by one semester. However, please note that you will not receive an Erasmus grant for the extra semester.

If you have to or would like to withdraw from your exchange period, you may do so.

Erasmus traineeship

You can work or receive training in an organization, institution or company in an Erasmus program country (EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Serbia and Turkey). The traineeship must last between two and twelve months.
