Resources for art and design

The University Library offers subject-specific databases, image archives and collections for students and staff in art, design and the teacher-education programme (PPU) at the Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design (KMD). Here you will find digital image archives, film and video, artists' books and artistic research, as well as a subject contact who helps with searches and literature requests.

The library has a large selection of journals within art and design.

New printed journals are on display, and older issues are in the compact stacks.

Students and staff at UiB have access to digital journals. An overview is available in BrowZine, and they can be searched in Oria. Remember to use VPN to get access.

The library has several newspapers that can be read in the library (BT, Dag og Tid, Dagens Næringsliv weekend, Klassekampen, Morgenbladet and Weekendavisen). Many other Norwegian and international newspapers are digitally available to students and staff in PressReader.
