BCEPS houses three research groups:

- CHER - Clinical and Health Care Ethics Research Group, led by Ingrid Miljeteig
- Global Health Epidemiology, led by Ingvild Fossgard Sandøy
BCEPS Main Research Workstreams
The work being conducted at BCEPS cuts across the disciplines of ethics, health economics, priority setting in health, and epidemiology, and can be divided into five main research workstreams led by seven workstream leaders: BCEPS co-founder and former Director Professor Ole Frithjof Norheim, BCEPS Director Professor Ingvild Fossgard Sandøy, BCEPS Deputy Director Professor Kjell Arne Johansson, Professor Ingrid Miljeteig, Professor Halvor Sommerfelt, Professor David Watkins (external link) and Professor Ezekiel Emanuel (external link).
1. Rationing Lab
The Rationing Lab workstream is led by Ole Frithjof Norheim and Ezekiel Emanuel and aims to determine the impact of alternative ethical frameworks on population health and income. [See BCEPS Centre of Excellence project information (external link).]
2. Innovative Methods
The Innovative Methods workstream is led by Kjell Arne Johansson and is affiliated to the FairChoices Research Group (external link). It aims to evaluate the impact of interventions on both health and income. [See BCEPS Centre of Excellence project information (external link).]
3. Equity Impact
The Equity Impact workstream is led by Ingvild Fossgard Sandøy and Halvor Sommerfelt and aims to carry out equity impact studies using analytic epidemiologic designs. [See BCEPS Centre of Excellence project information (external link).]
4. Disease Control Control Priorities (DCP-4)
The DCP-4 workstream is led by Ole Frithjof Norheim and David Watkins and carries out core analytics for Disease Control Priorities 4th Edition (DCP-4) (external link) [See BCEPS Centre of Excellence project information (external link).]
5. Medical Ethics
The Medical Ethics workstream is led by Ingrid Miljeteig and is affiliated to the Clinical and Health Care Ethics Research Group (CHER) (external link)
